FM-02 - Check Battery and Charger
Use this when
Use this when the kit shuts down, runtime is short, the battery will not charge, or power is unstable.
Before you start
Do not charge a damaged battery. Do not leave a suspect battery charging unattended.
Steps
- Confirm the charger is connected to wall power or the expected power source.
- Confirm the charger is connected firmly to the battery.
- Check whether the charger has a status light.
- Check whether the battery has a charge indicator, if available.
- Inspect the battery casing for swelling, cracks, leakage, burn marks, corrosion, or unusual odor.
- Check whether the battery or charger feels unusually hot.
- Record how long the kit runs before shutting down.
- Take photos of the battery, charger, battery label, and power connections.
The battery should charge normally, remain near ambient temperature, and power the kit without sudden shutdowns.
